Finding acupuncture an extremely effective therapy personally, I became interested in how it worked and completed both a full time degree (BSc Hons) in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture at the University of Westminster and an ITEC Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage. As well as being an education in the principles and practice of Chinese Medicine, my training gave a thorough grounding in biomedical science and equipped students to practise within the context of both disciplines.
I completed post-graduate training and practice in acupuncture at Szechuan University Hospital in China. Back in London I worked in an NHS Chinese Medicine clinic, as well as on the teaching staff of the Acupuncture BSc at the University of Westminster, at the Rainer Foundation in South East London, providing acupuncture to vulnerable young people and in private practice, particularly with pregnancy.
My massage experience has led me to include work with posture and alignment, where this is at the root of physical problems. I have particular experience of treating pregnancy both with massage and acupuncture. I enjoy providing a relaxing treatment space and and helping clients to support their own health through self-care. I work in private practice in Nailsworth, Stroud and Bristol.
